Not Your Regular Travel Blogger

The truth behind why I'm sharing my journey.

Why I built this Website

Let’s get one thing straight—I am not a travel blogger. I don’t want to be an influencer, I don’t want followers, and I have zero interest in monetizing this journey. I honestly would rather have the right 5 people see this site than thousands of the wrong people. The website exists for two simple reasons.

First, it’s for my friends and family. This is my way of letting them follow along and experience a bit of my day-to-day adventures, from the exhilarating moments to the mundane realities of life at sea.

Second, I feel like I owe it to people like me, those who want to do something like this but don’t know where to start. I’m no expert, and no one has any reason to listen to me, but I know there are a handful of people out there who were in the exact same boat I was (no pun intended). If sharing my journey—both the highs and the struggles—can help someone else take that first step toward their own adventure, then it’s worthwhile.

I’ll be sharing how I went about everything—the research, the training, the setbacks, and the lessons learned, without filters or sugarcoating. If learning through my trial and mistakes helps one one person to chase their own goals, that’s enough for me.

No sponsors. No ads. No BS. Just the story of a guy who wanted to see what was beyond the horizon.
